Rebecca Brown is recognized statewide for her expertise in incarceration, reentry, and prison realignment. A trained facilitator, community organizer, program designer, grantwriter, and strategic planning and organizational development consultant, Rebecca has blazed new trails to innovative, cross-sector partnerships advancing social justice.

Committed to designing inclusive, participatory projects that forge relationships between the traditionally powerful and the historically powerless, Rebecca helps diverse and often divided groups develop new solutions to identify and achieve collective victories.

In her former life, Ms. Brown was an institutional money manager on Wall Street. She earned her BA with Highest Distinction from UC Berkeley, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and recognized as Outstanding Woman in the Humanities. Awarded both the Mellon Fellowship and the Javits Fellowship for Graduate Study, she completed her PhD coursework at Stanford University, where she first studied the history of incarceration in America.
